Are you ready to dive into the world of immersive audio at the UNIVERSITY OF YORK? We're looking for a tech wizard to join our AudioLab team and help create some seriously cool accessible tools for audio production. 🚀
What you'll be doing:
- Converting audio algorithms from Matlab to C/C++ for AAX/VST plugins
- Developing a standalone renderer
- Collaborating with the team on spatial audio project demos
- Chatting with stakeholders about implementation and debugging
What we're looking for:
- BSc/BEng in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
- Rockstar skills in Matlab and C/C++ programming
- Solid understanding of DSP and spatial audio
- Familiarity with accessibility research is a plus
- Experience in sound design for film and TV would be awesome
This is a part-time gig (18.5 hours/week) for up to 12 months. You'll be working on the Enhancing Audio Description project, making audio more accessible for everyone.
